Returns and exchange details
Please note, I hand make everything to order and - on most items- it takes me 3 weeks from the date of order to make your items and ship them. I will do my very best to make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase, but I can only exchange an item if there is a significant flaw. Please inform me with in 24hrs of receiving your item. I am not able to refund or replace unless I receive the defective items back. All items are handmade, sometimes small imperfections happen as they are a part of the process, making each item a one of kind classic.
By purchasing your item, you agree that you have read and understood all shop policies. Vests are made within tolerances that I can achieve with my handmade items. In general, it is roughly plus or minus half an inch from the stated size meaning it may be half an inch larger or smaller than the size stated.
Please be aware, the S&R vests run a little small in general when compared to the other sizes. For example, a 20" SNR will run on the smaller size with it being between 19-20" in size while a 20" long body will run roughly between 19.5 and 20.5" in size. I only make vests to whole sizes due to the tolerances.
I do not accept order cancellations. However, in the event we mutually agree to a cancellation, a cancellation fee up to 50% of the order may be required if I have already created a digital proof for your order or purchased materials (physical or digital) for your custom order.
If a return is approved, it must be returned in like new condition (no alterations, dirt, hair, etc). If it arrives in a condition other than new, a refund may not be possible or a restocking fee up to 50% may be required. Return shipping costs will only be covered for defective items and only if I provide a shipping label for you to print. In the event you ship it yourself by purchasing your own postage, I will not be able to reimburse postage costs. First class postage via USPS is the most affordable way to mail small items. Returns are not accepted on custom printed fabric items. Designs submitted for custom printing will not be proofed prior to printing. Customers are able to preview their designs before submitting the order. By previewing and then submitting the order customers approve the printed result, therefore no returns are accepted.
Additional Policies related to custom orders
Custom orders are encouraged, let me know what you are looking for and I will do my best to accommodate! When I am tasked with the digitizing or designing any of the content of a custom order (patch, leash sleeve, sign, capes, including layouts, fonts, composition, etc), Patience and Love will be the intellectual property owner of all such content it creates on behalf of its customers, and unless otherwise agreed upon between the parties prior to ordering, Patience and Love shall have the right to reuse any such content in the satisfaction of any other order. This includes if a layout template was sent along with the order for reference and the final product looks like the template. By purchasing from my shop, you agree that the final design that is created by Patience and Love will be the intellectual property of Patience and Love. Patience and Love has rights to use any part or all of the design for other customers. If you would like to discuss a commissioned piece that would not be duplicated for anyone other than you, the pricing would be significantly different ($200-$600 more than my standard listing prices depending on the design details). Patience and Love is not responsible for any injury or loss caused directly or indirectly by the use or misuse of our products.
There are individuals and organizations that sell service animal certification or registration documents online. This shop does *NOT* recommend or support these sites. The documents do not convey any rights under the ADA and the Department of Justice *DOES NOT* recognize them as proof that the dog is a service animal. No Service ID information will be sewn or printed on gear made by Patience and Love.
Proof generations policy for embroidered vests:
Please send over any guidance on what your gear is to look like after purchasing your vest. I will work on proof of your gear and will send the proof for your review 3-5 days before the ship date for your review and approval. With your purchase price, I include a proof of one theme and up to 4 edits. Edits can include changes to the text, position, colors, etc. Large scale changes such as changing the design to another idea, changing the theme, changing the shape of the vest, etc... will result in revision charges.
POLICIES RELATED TO all uploaded content to the design creator tool:
You cannot upload designs to the P&L design tool that you don’t own or have permission to reproduce. This includes pictures, images, characters and the like created by someone else. You also cannot use someone else’s trademark without permission, either within your design or to identify or promote your designs. Whether or not you have legal permission to reproduce a design or a trademark is not something I can determine for you. It is your responsibility to understand the permissions associated with any design you upload. YOU REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT YOU ARE THE OWNER OF THE CONTENT WHICH YOU SUBMIT AND THAT THE CONTENT DOES NOT INFRINGE UPON THE PROPERTY RIGHTS, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS (E.G. COPYRIGHTS AND TRADEMARKS) OR OTHER RIGHTS OF OTHERS. YOU ALSO REPRESENT THAT THERE ARE NO OUTSTANDING DISPUTES IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROPERTY RIGHTS, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OR OTHER RIGHTS IN THE CONTENT OR ANY PARTS OF THE CONTENT. You also agree to defend, indemnify and hold Patience and Love Inc harmless from all judgments, awards, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses, including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees, expert witness fees, and costs of litigation arising out of or based on (a) Content you submit, post to or transmit through the site, (b) your use of the site, (c) your connection to the site, (d) your violation of these Terms or (e) your violation of any rights of a third party.
